I didn't tell them that I am from matriculation. Instead I said that my highest qualification is only SPM, getting only 5A's. I've work for two days already and it's quite tough especially at the fries section. anyway, that's what I cam say this time. I'm busy okay. Chow!!!

World Issues

THEME: WORLD ISSUES

Question:
The UN views the threat of terrorism towards its member countries as very grave. As Malaysia’s representative to the UN, you have been asked to submit a report stating what steps Malaysia has taken to combat terrorism in the country. You may use the following:
MyKad
Registration of prepaid mobile SIM cards
Biometric passports

Answer:

Steps That Have Been Taken by Malaysia
To Combat Terrorism

Since the tragedy of September 11 occurs in 2001, the world has view terrorism as the biggest threat that must be seriously tackled. Every grouping in this world has been discussing about this matter. Malaysia as a single country also views the threat of terrorism as very grave. Therefore, there are several steps that have been taken by Malaysia to combat terrorism in the country.
Starting in the year of 2001, Malaysia has presenting a new version of its identification card. It was officially launched on 5 September 2001. It incorporates microchip which contains several items of data. It also has the same dimension as a credit card. Therefore, it is highly safe for the use of its citizen. The card is difficult to been duplicated by other people. The Government of Malaysia can always keep track of its citizen because the terrorist cannot duplicate the card.
The other step that has been taken is the registration of prepaid mobile SIM cards. It is often reported in the media that the terrorist always use handphone as the remote control for the suicide bombings. The usage of prepaid mobile phones make it harder to detect the activist because prepaid customer do not have to register to the respective provider, like the postpaid customer. Hence, the government has make it a rule for all the prepaid customers to register their account with their respective service provider.
Malaysian government also has launches the usage of biometric passport since 1998. A biometric passport is a combined paper and electronic identity document that uses
biometrics to authenticate the citizenship of travelers. The passport's critical information is stored on a tiny RFID computer chip, much like information stored on smartcards. Like some smartcards, the passport book design calls for an embedded contactless chip that is able to hold digital signature data to ensure the integrity of the passport and the biometric data. So, the terrorism can be controlled within the Malaysian citizen.
Terrorism is such a big issue that has to be tackle today so it will not cause any major catastrophe similar to that of September 11 tragedy. Although we can take many approaches, however we must also stress the importance to identify the root of terrorism. Last but not least, combating terrorism before it gain its momentum is more effective than combating it after it is already a virus in the community, as people’s saying: cure
is better that treat.

Where do I study?

My name is Ahmad Afif bin Isa. This is as the preview of myself first. This is my first post of my life. So, I think that I have to say something about myself first. I was born on 09 March 1989 at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, Malaysia. My family is such a big family. I have nine (9) siblings including me, plus my parents, it is 11 people just in my family. I am really impressed how my parents raise us although we live in a big city where money is everything. My father is Malaysia's Royal Navy Army. His name is Commander Isa bin Jaafar. My mother is Hasnah binti Zakaria. She is only a housewife but obviously a successful one.
I received my first education at Tadika Amal Taman Keramat, a private kindergaten. This is where I know how to read. I still remember my class teacher's name at that time. She is the one who teach me how to read. Her name is Puan Rahmah. I want to meet her again! (T_T).
Then, I further my studies at Sekolah Kebangsaan Datuk Keramat (2) or shortened as SKDK(2). At this school, I meet new friends and teachers. There are a lot of good teachers at this school. Encik Rosli is the one who always give me hope while studying. He is a great Mathematics teacher. He makes everybody wants to learn Mathematics. There is also Cik Rosilawati. I do not know if she married already. She always take me to go to the school by her Kancil car.
After that, I got 5A's in UPSR, an examination for student before entering secondary school. I get a place to go to Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Ahmad Shah, Gambang, Pahang in Malaysia. However, my father decided to send me to a premier school in Kuala Lumpur. The reason is he wants me to mix with the Chinese and Indians so I can master English. At first I feel sad because I want to experience living at the hostel. It is a science school! Everyone wants to go there. Then, after finished my Form 5 at Victoria Institution, I realized that my father had made a right decision. At VI, I get to know what is life actually. There are a lot kind of people in here.
Currently, I'm studying at Kedah Matriculation College, Changlun, Kedah, Malaysia. I can say that today is my golden days. My results is good. I have a lot of friends. I am active in clubs. Everything. I learn much more in here. Things that I never expected to get, I got it in here.
That's all I can say. Next time, I tell you more.
